Janna Mistry
Janna Mistry is a Senior Manager and has been with the Nakupuna Companies since 2018.
Janna manages a portfolio of projects with one of Nakupuna’s longest-standing customers, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA). With a background in software development and solutions architecture, she is passionate about creating and enhancing IT processes that improve the daily lives of all system users, and especially for facilitating quicker and more accurate communication between DPAA and families of missing service members. Janna also supports several internal objectives within Nakupuna’s IT Line of Business, including employee development, recognition, and retention. Overall, Janna embraces the Hawaiian concept of Wayfinding—the art and science of traditional ocean navigation—and strives to solve any new problem with a balance of proven techniques and creativity.
Prior to joining Nakupuna, Janna spent close to 10 years as an IT consultant in both the public and private sectors, specializing in the content and case management space. Most notably, Janna contributed to implementing an Accounts Payable Software Solution for a DOE contractor in charge of the decommissioning and decontamination of a uranium enrichment plant.
Janna holds a bachelor’s degree with a double-major in applied math and economics from Johns Hopkins University. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Born with a fused skull, Janna had to get brain surgery when she was 1 month old.
