Darlene Ige
Darlene Ige is an Environmental Program Manager and has been with the Nakupuna Companies since 2016.
Darlene manages an array of environmental projects for the Nakupuna Companies that range from investigations at hazardous waste and munitions sites, groundwater monitoring and treatment, to archaeological monitoring and surveying. Darlene’s involvement has contributed to successful ecological assessments, cultural assessments, laboratory analyses, risk assessments, public outreach and community relations activities, field work, and report writing. As an environmental program manager, she has led the environmental team to produce quality products, working closely with the business development team to prepare environmental proposals, and with the clients to ensure all expectations and requirements of the contracts are met.
Darlene honed her program management expertise through leading planning, civil design, and environmental projects for the U.S. Navy. She brings over 30 years of experience at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command-Pacific (NAVFAC PAC), where she managed environmental restoration, and served as the command’s environmental technical lead for the Military Guam Buildup.
Darlene earned her master’s degree in Business Administration and holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, both from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She also achieved the Professional Engineer (PE) certification in the State of Hawaii and is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
