Denver, CO – The Nakupuna Companies have earned recognition as a 2026 Top Workplace in Colorado by The Denver Post, ranking second in the Largest Companies category and earning a special award for its corporate values. The honor reflects the company’s continued investment in its people and the strong workplace culture supporting its growing presence across Colorado and nationwide.

Top Workplaces awards are based entirely on confidential employee feedback, with Nakupuna ranking as one of top organizations whose employees feel appreciated, connected, and engaged with the company’s mission, vision, and values. The feedback was collected through a third-party survey administered by research company Energage, which measured key drivers of organizational performance including engagement, leadership, and alignment. Among the winners, The Denver Post noted that Nakupuna “stands apart for its mission-driven approach.”

“This recognition reflects the kind of organization our employees continue to build together across the country,” said Jason Greenawalt, CEO of the Nakupuna Companies. “Whether supporting customers in Colorado, Hawaiʻi, Washington, D.C., or anywhere else we operate, our teams are united by a shared commitment to meaningful work, strong partnerships, and delivering results that matter. That culture does not happen by accident. It comes from investing in great people and giving them the opportunity to make an impact.”

Since opening its Denver office in 2019, Nakupuna has become a leading partner to both federal and local government agencies throughout the region. Their growing presence in Colorado and the Mountain West includes work with the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, as well as the City of Greeley.

Across its growing national footprint, Nakupuna has demonstrated a consistent emphasis on having a superlative workplace culture that helps its employees deliver mission-focused outcomes. This latest award marks Nakupuna’s eleventh overall Top Workplaces recognition, joining recent honors from USA TODAY, Hawaii’s Top Workplaces, and The Washington Post.

The Nakupuna Companies are a Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO)–owned family of companies providing services across mission and business operations, information technology, logistics, facilities and infrastructure, and environmental services. The organization’s success in solving the government’s toughest challenges has led to more than $21 million invested into STEM education, workforce development, economic advancement, and other community initiatives through their non-profit owner, the Nakupuna Foundation.
