Nakupuna Foundation Names Lindsay Ah Loo Executive Director

December 4, 2020July 7th, 20253 min read

Lindsay Ah Loo, Nakupuna Foundation Executive Director

Arlington, VA – This November, the Nakupuna Foundation named Lindsay Ah Loo as its new Executive Director. Tasked with shaping the Foundation’s vision and managing its charitable activities, Ah Loo, who has supported the Nakupuna Foundation since its formation in 2017, will seek to increase investments in long-term initiatives that vitalize the Native Hawaiian community.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work in service of our lāhui,” said Ah Loo. “As the Nakupuna organization has grown, so too has the Foundation’s capacity for impact. In our first three years, we’ve established productive partnerships with organizations we believe in, and I look forward to building on that momentum by cultivating those relationships that strengthen our cultural and economic resilience.”

A Kamehameha Schools Graduate and Oahu native, Ah Loo received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Yale as well as an MBA from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. For over 15 years, she supported the U.S. Navy as both a civil servant and consultant. Since 2015, she has been part owner of Na Aliʻi Consulting & Sales, which was founded in 2003 by her father, the late Warren Nakupuna Ah Loo—namesake of the Nakupuna Foundation and Nakupuna Companies.

“It’s such a privilege to honor our father by having Lindsay serve the Foundation in her new role,” said Nakupuna Foundation Chair Cariann Ah Loo, who is Lindsay’s sister and President of Na Aliʻi. “Having a full-time director will make it so much easier for us to help realize our father’s vision of a thriving Native Hawaiian community. He would be proud to see Lindsay continue the very important work we started in his honor.”
