Wain Iwaki

Vice President, Na Aliʻi

Wain Iwaki is the Vice President for Na Aliʻi and has been with the Nakupuna Companies since 2014.
Wain supports Nakupuna’s facilities support services contracts while leading business development efforts from a program management and capture perspective. Wain is passionate about building strong relationships, collaborative teams, and delivering exceptional value to our clients. He is proud to have been part of Na Aliʻi during its infancy and helping the Nakupuna Companies get off the ground. Now, having been with Nakupuna for over 10 years, he continues to be excited about being part of the team and driving its future success.
Wain began his professional career as a computer programmer in the U.S. Air Force. He completed his military career and retired from the Hawaii Air National Guard after 22 years of distinguished service. Wain’s private sector career consisted of mid and executive management positions in various local and national IT sales and integration companies, where he managed business operations, engineering, and business development. In 2010, he joined the PCED family of companies, where he met the founder of Na Aliʻi and worked to acquire and manage millions of dollars in Department of Defense contracts.
Wain enjoys supporting the Native Hawaiian community through volunteering his time with the Malama Loko Ea Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to restoring a historic Hawaiian fishpond on the North Shore of ʻOahu. He and his family have spent many productive days there working the ʻāina (land) at Loko Ea, enjoying the camaraderie and building new relationships.
Wain earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Roosevelt University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Fun Fact

At Wain’s wedding, his wife danced hula and he was the lead singer.
