Pete Dwyer

Chief Investment Officer

Pete Dwyer is the Chief Investment Officer and has been with the Nakupuna Companies since 2018, serving as Chief Financial Officer from 2018 to 2022.
Pete is responsible for the investment and acquisition strategy for the Nakupuna Companies and supports strategic initiatives. He brings more than 40 years of financial and operations experience focused on managing all aspects of acquisitions for a wide range of companies, including securing acquisition financing, managing capital restructuring, implementing financial controls, and reporting and oversight.
Prior to joining the Nakupuna Companies, Pete was the managing director and part owner of a consulting firm where he provided strategic business services to large and medium sized companies, focusing on acquisitions, restructuring of financially distressed companies, and serving as Chief Financial Officer for a number of companies. He was also Chief Financial Officer for AverStar, Inc., a technology company headquartered in Burlington, MA, where he oversaw the successful sale of the company to the Titan Corporation. He enjoys sharing his passion for the finance field, and taught for eight years as an adjunct/visiting professor at Saint Joseph’s University Haub School of Business, instructing business and finance courses at the master’s and executive master’s levels.
Pete earned his master’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance from Drexel University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from La Salle University.
